Busy busy
We have started taking bookings for step tests so it's exciting!
Training has been O.K. for me. I'm lifting a lot of weights at the moment, something I never did when rowing. I am aiming to break 5:50 for the 2k at BIRC in march, so, I will have to increase my volume from October and then add in some Unorthodox sessions....

Another day in Oxford
Another trip to Oxford. Todays testing involved the ketone drink. My peak lactate only measured 2.0 as opposed to 5.9 from wednesday trial! Magic stuff!

A little trip to Oxford
10th August
Trip to the John Radcliffe today with Rossy. We had to have a little muscle Biopsy and then do a 60 minute bike (I moaned like a little girl so it was reduced from 75). I didn't mind the muscle Biopsy but hated the bike, Rossy was the other way around.
Spent the day eating lots of cake thanks to Kirsty

A day of eating meat
9th August
A whole entire day of eating nothing but fat and protein as part of a physiology study at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Sounds great fun but I was struggling by dinner time!
Breakfast was the highlight, 4 eggs, pack of bacon, 5 sausages and a large steak. I felt like Hulk Hogan!
